Self-catering Chalets
There are currently 7 chalets, all made to blend in with the natural surroundings. Couples, families, fishermen, and groups of up to 24 Adults can be catered for in these self-catering units.
Wining & Dining
The dining and bar area offer you a relaxed atmosphere and whilst sitting on the deck you can look out and enjoy the tranquil serenity of the iSimangaliso Wetlands (formerly St Lucia Wetlands). We will endeavor to make your stay a delight whilst you indulge in our local cuisine.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool offers an opportunity to cool down and provides fun for children of all ages. Please note that Children under 12 should not be left unsupervised at the swimming pool.
Fauna & Flora
The property boasts a large number of indigenous fruit trees namely Monkey Apples, Water Berry, African Mangostine and a number of Mango trees splashed around the area. A large variety of Bird-life can also be enjoyed with the Kingfishers, Thrush, Wagtail, Bull-Bull, Crowned Hornbill and Yellow Billed Kite visiting our Lodge. Please keep an eye out for snakes and scorpions here in the bush.
Sights & Scenes
Although there is no sea view from the lodge we are proud to say that we are only 1km from the biggest lake in the district; which can be reached through the gates of the local nature reserve via either a brisk walk or a drive in a 4x4 vehicle. We are also a mere 19km drive through the reserve to Kosi Mouth and the beach in a 4x4.
Best of the Bush & Beach
Guests are offered the best of the Bush & the Beach, including egg laying turtles, pristine coastline, exceptional snorkeling, fishing on the lakes or beaches, birding and hiking or game drives to Tembe Elephant Park, or Ndumu Game Reserve. A quick hop across the border to Ponta and one can do Scuba Diving, swimming with dolphins and whale watching.
